Sunday Mass
Our parish music ministry works to bring vitality to our sung worship.
Through the dedication and hard work of our music ministers and staff, under the direction of Sr. Maureen Griner, OSU, our parish enjoys a wide variety of beauty in our liturgical music.  One great aspect of the Cathedral music ministry is the community that is built among the various musicians and singers, bringing about a depth of faith and spirituality and commitment to prayer and good works.

The Liturgical Music Office, located on the lower level of the Cathedral, serves both the Cathedral parish and the diocesan Office of Liturgical Music, and is home to the office of the diocesan Institute for Liturgy and Spirituality.

Cathedral Choir
Directed by Sr. Maureen Griner, OSU, the choir serves the Cathedral from September through May, or as far as the feast of Pentecost, whichever comes last.  Choir members rehearse on Wednesday evenings and usually serve at the 10 AM Sunday Mass.

Cathedral CantorsCantor
Cantors serve to lead the assembly in sung worship.  All Cantors must have Cantor Training--Level I offered through the diocesan Institute for Liturgy and Spirituality.  The Cantors are coordinated by Mrs. Judy Gray.

Handbell Choirs
The Cathedral has three handbell choirs which perform at various times throughout the year.  The Children's Handbell Choir (grades 4-8) and the High School Handbell Choir (grades 9-12) are directed by  Mrs. Barbara Goldsmith.  The adult Cathedral Handbell Choir is directed by Mr. Michael Ziegler.

Guest Musicians

For various occasions, such as particularly solemn feasts, the Cathedral invites additional musicians to play, such as brass or string quartets, as well as individual instrumentalists.  You never know when you might hear the enhancing music of an oboe, trumpet, or violin at a Cathedral liturgy.
