Parishes join to form Western Deanery Youth Group

The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is seeking a Spiritual Rejuvenation for our youth and young people through out our deanery! To kick-start this, a combined team from the different parishes have gathered to guide a Deanery-wide Consecration to Jesus through Mary.

We are inviting anyone from confirmation, high school through to post-graduate level to join us as we explore the different truths as captured by St. Louis de Montfort in his book, "True Devotion to Mary."  In this book and during this “extended multi-week retreat,"  we will challenge ourselves to grow in our self-awareness, knowledge of Mary, and love for Jesus.  This exploration will provide growth in the virtue of humility and growing in humility we will begin to see ourselves as we really are – precious and loved, yet weak, flawed and in need of a merciful Savior.  We will conclude on December 8th at 5:30 to 6:30 with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Rosary, followed by Holy Mass with Bishop David Talley at 7:00pm, with activities to culminate with a consecration to Mary.

We will meet in the Cathedral Gym the evenings of:

November 4th 6:30-7:30 pm  (Knowledge of self) (Fr. Bruce)

November 18th 6:30-7:30 pm (Knowledge of the blessed Virgin Mary) (Fr. Ruben)

December 2nd 6:30-7:30 pm  (Knowledge of Jesus Christ) (Fr. Stephen)

We are overjoyed at the willingness of all the parishes to join us, explore our faith, and collaborate while sharing our resources to grow our family.  What an incredible mission!

What do we need from you?

Pray for our young people that join us on this journey.  Let us know if you know anyone interested in joining us!

We are hoping you will join us for Feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8th for our Consecration.

Thank you!
