BIshop Issues Amended Oct. 4 Decree

Bishop Talley has issued on Sept. 28 an amended version of his Oct. 4 decree, which clarifies what "grave causes" are acceptable in not meeting the Sunday obligation to attend Mass. The original Oct. 4 decree ends the dispensation from attending Mass beginning Oct. 10 and 11. There are, however, exceptions for individuals with specific health conditions. Cathedral School Dedicates Courtyard to Bishop Talley

On Friday, Sept. 11, Bishop Talley celebrated his birthday morning by visiting the Immaculate Conception Cathedral School campus, where students unveiled a plaque in the courtyard dedicating the area in his honor. After the ceremony, he visited each classroom, where students wished him a Happy Birthday and presented him with handmade cards and gifts.  The Bishop asked all students to thank their parents on his behalf for the sacrifices they make to provide them with an ICCS education. Parish and Priests' Offices Moving to Cathedral Center

Cathedral Pastor Fr. Robert Szczechura announced today that the Cathedral Parish Office staff and priests' offices will move in the coming weeks to the Cathedral Center.  In a letter to parishioners and Cathedral School families, Fr.
