Cathedral Easter

Welcome!

Welcome to the online home of the mother church of the Diocese of Memphis! We hope you will make use of the resources collected on this site. We especially want to welcome visitors, and want to invite you to take a look through the site, and contact us if there is any way we can assist you on your faith-journey. To our parishioners, please take advantage of the information on this site. Much happens at the Cathedral and we hope you will stay involved.

153 Initiative

O God,
ever faithful, ever true,
We thank You that You call us as church
to make the journey of faith together.
May Your Son Jesus,
the Crucified One, Now Risen,
show Himself to us that He might direct us from
fruitless toil to a generous catch for the Kingdom!
May His Holy Spirit lead us to
praise you with joy in His name.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen

Please continue to pray daily the prayer given above, that the Risen Jesus might truly direct us as we pray together and as we look to our future.

Summer is Here!

Warm weather and summer vacation is here. We wish all students and families a safe summer. As families relax and travel for the next few months, remember not to relax from the Church. If you are traveling, please go to www.masstimes.org to find a Catholic church wherever you might be.

Corpus Christi Celebration & Procession

We will celebrate the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ at the 5pm Mass on Saturday, June 13th, which will be presided by Bishop Terry Steib. The Mass will be followed by a procession around the neighborhood, concluding with Benediction in the Cathedral and a potluck dinner in Marian Hall. On this Feast day we celebrate the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist and in each other. All are welcome!

Saint Vincent de Paul Food Pantry

Our food pantry is bare! Many people come to the steps of the parish office on a weekly basis looking for food, and financial assistance. The Saint Vincent de Paul volunteers graciously do all that they can to help with bags of food, food vouchers, gas vouchers and home visits to determine further financial needs. Help is needed to re-stock the pantry. Bring your food items to the garage of the parish office. Monetary donations are also accepted.
