Diocesan Choir

The Diocesan Choir for the Diocese of Memphis in Tennessee is an all volunteer, unauditioned choral ensemble that provides musical leadership at major Diocesan liturgies and other events—typically in the Cathedral.  In a usual year, the choir will sing for the Rite of Election, Chrism Mass, Ordinations, and some other liturgies and/or concerts.  Participation is open to all singers ages 13 and up..

We are now registering for the Rite of Election.  Remember that the Rite of Election consists of two services, one at 3:00 p.m. and one at 7:00 p.m.  Though you don't have to, if you sing for both services, dinner will be provided by the Diocese.

  • Rite of Election —Sunday, March 1, 2020 — 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.— Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1695 Central Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee.

The rehearsals will be from 6:15 p.m. — 8:00 p.m. (except for Sunday, February 23, which will be from 4:30 p.m. — 6:00 p.m.)  in Marian Hall, as follows:
